The Measurement Of Personality

One would come across many treatises on personality. ‘What is Personality’, ‘Personality Building’, ‘Magnetic Personality’, ‘Personality Cult’, ‘Personality Disorder’, are some of the well known captions. They prescribe and recommend many personality aids, improvement recipes and cures and correctives as if personality is a simple and common trait which can be acquired easily; or it is some thing objective which can be everybody’s property.

Personality is not such a common and cheap human property. In philosophic sense personality is systematized, integrated and disciplined self. There are three important aspects of human personality namely physical, mental and moral or ethical. A harmonious and conscious development of all the three, is the test of good or balanced personality.

“Why was the universe created in the first place?”
“What is my purpose for being?”
“Who am I?”
“Why is life a struggle?”
“How can I live in peace and happiness?”
“Why can’t I attract more abundance into my life?”

Do you believe that if you had the answers to these questions, and many more like them, you would have a happier and more fulfilling life? The answers to these questions, and many more, lie within you and you can access them at any time.

Valley Of Vision

I am deafened by the thunderous sound of my enemies. They have chased after me in relentless pursuit. Their clamor reverberates off the mountains encompassing me round about. My valley of refuge has become my prison. When will I be free? When will it end? The fiery arrows, the distant roar of insults being hurled from vulgar mouths, the stench of pagan incense looming in the air, yet I must endure!

I lay awake at night remembering the glorious day of my unexpected visitation … the horn of oil, the celebration, the everlasting covenant, but now look at me! From the heights of the mountaintop to the lowest depths of this valley, I’ve plummeted. How will I find strength to go on? And yet, I know I must.

Your happiness, success, and self-improvement have much to do with failure. That’s why it is critical to have a winning attitude and create positive thinking around your mistakes and setbacks.

Imagine you are waiting to walk across a board that’s 20 feet long, 1 foot wide, and elevated 2 feet off the floor. You feel comfortable about the task at hand. You may wonder how much “arm waving” and “back bending” you’ll do to keep your balance, but you aren’t afraid of falling. Losing your balance simply means you’ll step safely down to a carpeted floor.

Some people value spontaneity. Others crave structure. Still, it would help if you would go through life with direction, and with goals. Goals help in guiding your choices. Purpose underlines everything you do.

So you’re in a new stage in your life. Either you’ve graduated from high school or college, decided to move on from a suffocating job, or just basically in a new stage in your life. You want to plan out the steps you want to take now, and you want to make the best choices that life has to offer.
