Just because your formal education is over with does not mean that you are thru learning. Many Americans never read another book after they leave high school. This is a travesty indeed. As the founder of The Online Think Tank it is amazing the number of life-time learners and I must say I am proud to share this philosophy with all of them.

Not long ago someone congratulated me in having become an “accomplished person” and I thought, hmm? Well, yes, I guess compared to the whole of society that is a true enough statement and yet I am not near completed; so I replied to this interesting comment with a statement:

Thank you for the kudos although I am merely on chapter three of a 26 chapter book in a three part trilogy and thus what I have done up until now has been just a warm-up for me, the introduction plus lead character development, I guess, as the future is to be written. Thus, it is all work in progress here at 40 years old. Lots of work today and the challenge is daunting, but it can be done.

Indeed, I guess I tend to agree with many of those who have come before us who have stated in many different ways and left us many a famous quote that “Learning is a lifetime endeavor” and I think my late friend Paul MacCready would have agreed. We all have much more work to do, learning never stops, nor should we turn off our minds or surrender them to the TV sets.

What I guess I am saying is that it is time to pick up the pace and stay in the race. It is no time to rest on your laurels, so get the lead out. Sincerely, Lance.
