Consider that at any given time, probably 90% of the adult population is at the same place or near the same place where they were a year ago even though they say that they want to master success, to get more out of life. These are the ones of the many.
Now, the other 10% are the ones of the few. These individuals improve each and every year, always growing forward, never content in staying in the same place.
Why are most people one of the many each and every year? Just think how many times the same resolution appears January 1? Need I say or rather write more?
The answers to this question may appear to be many, but probably are far fewer. Sometimes answers address symptoms and fail to identify the real problem.
Years ago, I remember reading a Snoopy carton in which Charlie Brown stated: I met the enemy and he is me. Art Linkletter said that “kids say the darndest things” and in many cases, we learn speak incredible words of wisdom.
So if the enemy is you, why are you still where you do not want to be? Only you truly know the answer to that question and to find it requires honest reflection if you want to master success.
After the reflection, you will need to embrace some new tools that will help you strategize (out think) yourself and then you will need to make a commitment to use those tools. These tools should include at least:
You may also need to find a mentor, a business coach or an executive coach to help you maintain your personal accountability. Another success strategy is to form a master mind group or form a strategic alliances.
Only you can change the course of your life in spite of what you may continually hear, see or read. Remember, as Charlie Brown said so eloquently: I met the enemy and he is me.
Stop being your enemy, take action to master success right now so that you will not be in the same place this time next year.
